How to Get Primed Mods in Warframe

Primed Mods are stronger versions of regular mods in Warframe, offering higher maximum ranks and providing significantly better stats.
While a standard mod might cap at Rank 6, a Primed Mod can go all the way to Rank 10.

This guide covers what Primed Mods are, how to get them, and how to farm the Ducats needed to purchase them.

What Are Primed Mods?

Primed Mods are upgraded variants of normal mods and are often considered endgame upgrades because they offer some of the best-in-slot stats for many builds.

However, keep in mind that alternatives — such as Archon Mods — may outperform them in certain niche builds.

Primed Mods cannot be earned through regular gameplay. Instead, they are sold exclusively by:

Baro Ki’Teer — The Void Trader

Baro Ki’Teer is a unique vendor who:

  • Appears every two weeks in a random Relay
  • Stays from Friday to Sunday
  • Occasionally visits weekly during special events (e.g., October)

He sells:

  • Primed Mods
  • Prisma Weapons
  • Cosmetics
  • Decorations
  • And other unique items

Even if you're a new player without the resources to buy anything, it’s still worth checking his inventory every time he appears.

How to Get Primed Mods

Primed Mods can only be purchased from Baro Ki’Teer.

1. Check When Baro Arrives

You can see Baro’s current visit by:

  • Looking at the Alerts/News tab
  • Checking the star chart for his icon hovering over a Relay
  • Using chat commands in Q&A channels
  • Checking the community Wiki

2. Visit Baro in the Relay

Once Baro arrives:

  • Head to the Relay he’s visiting
  • Open your Gear Wheel to fast-travel directly to him
  • Browse his inventory for any Primed Mods you want

If you’re collecting them all, prepare for a long-term grind — his rotation is random, and you’ll often only get a few at a time.

  • Primed Flow
  • Primed Continuity
  • Primed Toxin

These offer huge value early on and are widely used in many builds.

3. Pay with Credits & Ducats

Every item Baro sells requires:

  • Credits
  • Ducats — a special currency only used at Baro’s shop

Right next to Baro is the Ducat Kiosk, where you trade Prime Parts for Ducats.

Ducat Values

  • Common Prime Part → 15 Ducats
  • Uncommon Prime Part → 45 Ducats
  • Rare Prime Part → 100 Ducats

Tip: Check Market Value First

Before turning in any Prime Part, check its price on warframe.market.

Sometimes a part is worth Platinum, and selling it may be more profitable than turning it in for Ducats.
You can then buy cheaper relic parts to convert instead.

How to Farm Ducats (Prime Parts)

To farm Ducats efficiently, you first need Prime Parts, which come from opening Void Relics.

Step 1: Farm Relics

One of the fastest early-game relic farms is:

Hepit (Void) — Capture Mission

  • Drops Lith Relics consistently
  • Quick and easy
  • Runs take 1–2 minutes each

Lith Relics are great for new players and often contain valuable Prime Parts.

Step 2: Open Relics in Fissure Missions

On the Navigation screen, you’ll see Fissures on the top right.

To open relics:

  1. Start a Fissure Mission
  2. Select a relic when prompted
  3. Collect Reactant during the mission
  4. Finish the mission to receive a Prime Part

Always Run Fissures in Public

Running in public lobbies lets you:

  • Select from any of your squad’s drops
  • Dramatically improve your odds of getting rare items
  • Farm faster with coordinated relic runs

Step 3: Convert Prime Parts into Ducats

Once you’ve collected several parts:

  • Visit any Relay
  • Go to the Ducat Kiosk
  • Convert your parts into Ducats

Remember to check prices first — some rare drops sell for 40+ Platinum, and may be worth trading instead of exchanging.

Conclusion

And that’s it! You now know:

  • What Primed Mods are
  • How Baro Ki’Teer works
  • How to farm Prime Parts and Ducats
  • Which Primed Mods to grab early on

With this knowledge, you won’t miss out when a strong Primed Mod shows up in Baro’s rotation.
